How to record + upload your voice note to Google Drive (Android)

1) Record your sound as a voice note
- Open your phone’s Voice Recorder app (sometimes called Sound Recorder).
- Tap the record button.
- Record your sound (try to keep the phone fairly still and close to the sound source).
- Tap stop when finished.
- Rename the recording to something useful (usually via a three-dot menu or edit option).
2) Make sure the file is saved to your phone
This step ensures the file can be uploaded easily.
- In the Voice Recorder app, locate your saved recording.
- If prompted, ensure it’s saved to your device storage (e.g. Internal storage or Recordings folder).
- You can check this using the Files or My Files app.
3) Upload the voice note to Google Drive
- Open the Google Drive folder link on your phone (Chrome works well):
- Tap the + (Add) button.
- Select Upload.
- Choose Files.
- Navigate to where your recording is saved (e.g. Recordings).
- Select the voice note(s).
